The University of Alberta Madrigal Singers are one of the premiere university choirs in Canada, with numerous national and international awards for their recordings and competition appearances. Comprised of students from the Department of Music as well as from all areas of campus, the Madrigal Singers perform extensively in the Edmonton area and are frequent guests of the Alberta Baroque Ensemble and Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
The University of Alberta Madrigal Singers warmly invites you to a performance of Benjamin Britten's delightful cantata, Saint Nicolas, on Sunday, February 11, 7:30pm at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. A DMus recital for Madrigal Singers assistant conductor, Ben Ewert, this poignant work about the life, works and miracles of the "man beneath the saint" also features tenor soloist, RJ Chambers, the Edmonton Boys Choir, organist Dr. John Brough, and orchestra of talented university and community players.
